Getting Started with GoBower: Your First Design in 5 Minutes

A step-by-step walkthrough — from signing up to exporting your first print-ready design using AI.

Print-on-demand lets you launch a product business with zero inventory. GoBower removes the design barrier entirely with AI-powered generation, lifestyle mockups, and one-click export. Here is how to get your first design live in under five minutes.

Step 1 — Create Your Account

Head to GoBower and click Get Started. Sign up with your email or Google account. The Free plan gives you 10 AI credits — enough to create your first designs on T-Shirts and Posters.

Step 2 — Open the Editor

From your dashboard, click New Design to open the editor. You will see the AI design studio with the prompt and controls on the left, and the mockup preview area on the right.

Step 3 — Choose Your Product

In the sidebar, select your product type. GoBower supports 8 product types: T-Shirts, Hoodies, Sweatshirts, Tank Tops, Mugs, Posters, Tote Bags, and Phone Cases.

Tip: T-Shirts and Posters are available on the Free plan. Upgrade to Starter for Hoodies and Mugs, or Pro for all 8 product types.

Step 4 — Write Your Prompt and Generate

The left panel has an AI prompt field. Describe what you want — the more detail, the better. Pick a Style Preset (Vintage, Minimal, Retro, Modern, or Futuristic), a Mood (Cute, Funny, Elegant, Dark, or Vibrant), and adjust complexity and creativity sliders. Then click Generate.

  • Weak: "cool cat design"
  • Strong: "a black cat wearing sunglasses on a crescent moon, retro 80s neon aesthetic, purple and teal palette, bold vector art"

Each generation costs 1 credit. The AI typically takes 10–20 seconds. Your design appears on the canvas and in your generated designs carousel.

Step 5 — Preview on Lifestyle Mockups

Click the AI Placement tab in the top bar to switch to AI Placement mode. You will see your design composited onto a grid of real lifestyle photos — people wearing the shirt, holding a mug, and more. For apparel products, GoBower automatically generates both front and back mockups.

Step 6 — Export

When you are happy with the result, click Export in the top bar. Your design exports as a print-ready PNG at 4500x5400 pixels, 300 DPI — ready to upload to any POD platform.

That is it! You have gone from idea to print-ready design in minutes. Try generating a few variations with different prompts to build out a collection.
