GoBower ("GoBower", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website at https://gobower.com or use our design platform (collectively, the "Service").

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account data: name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Payment data: billing address and payment method details, processed securely by Lemon Squeezy. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Content: prompts, designs, uploaded images, and other creative assets you create or upload to the Service.
  • Communications: messages you send to our support team.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, click events, and time spent.
  • Device data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: session cookies for authentication, preference cookies for theme/language settings, and analytics cookies (see Section 5).

1.3 Information from Third Parties

If you sign in via a third-party provider (e.g., Google OAuth), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider, subject to their privacy policy.

If you connect a third-party marketplace account (e.g., Etsy), we receive your shop name, user ID, and listing data from that marketplace via their API, solely to provide the integration features. You can disconnect your marketplace account at any time from your account Settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service, including AI design generation.
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account notifications).
  • Send promotional communications, if you opt in.
  • Respond to support requests and feedback.
  • Monitor for abuse, fraud, and security threats.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • Publish and manage listings on third-party marketplaces (e.g., Etsy) on your behalf, when you connect your marketplace account.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers: trusted vendors that help us operate the Service (e.g., Lemon Squeezy for payments, AWS for hosting, Resend for email, Vercel for deployment). These parties access data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • AI model providers: prompts you submit for design generation are sent to our AI inference provider. We do not share your account identity with them.
  • Marketplace integrations: when you publish a listing to a connected marketplace (e.g., Etsy), your design images, listing titles, descriptions, tags, and pricing are sent to that marketplace via their API. This data is then subject to the marketplace's own privacy policy (e.g., Etsy's Privacy Policy). You can disconnect your marketplace account at any time from Settings.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of GoBower, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with prior notice to you.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).

AI-generated designs stored in the Service are retained until you delete them or close your account. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days after deletion.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary: authentication tokens and CSRF protection. Cannot be disabled.
  • Preference: theme (light/dark), language, and editor settings.
  • Analytics: anonymized usage statistics via Plausible Analytics (privacy-focused, no cross-site tracking, no personal data shared).

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling preference cookies may affect your experience.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard safeguards: TLS encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, regular security audits, and access controls limiting data to authorized personnel. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the data promptly. Contact us at [email protected] if you believe we have collected data from a minor.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.

  • Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

9. International Transfers

Our servers are located in Germany. If you access the Service from outside Germany, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Germany. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission for transfers from the EU/EEA.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We'll notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
